About the Speaker

Kara Desmond is a Professional Organizer and owner of Utterly Uncluttered. She is a proud alumna of Michigan State University, where she graduated in 2011 with a degree in Marketing & specialization in International Business.  She credits many of her experiences from college, namely her time in Alpha Phi, studying abroad in Europe, and the MSU Career Fair for where she is today. Before she began organizing as a professional, she held a job for nearly 8 years that she landed from the Career Fair.  In 2018 she completed her MBA from Wayne State University.

In February of 2019, she underwent a career transition where she made the leap to become self-employed. Throughout her life, she has been passionate about minimizing distractions and inefficiencies in everyday life that take away from things that are truly important. She has always found joy in helping people improve their quality of life, as well, and decided to turn her passion into a business. Kara spends her days helping people say “goodbye” to their clutter and setting up organized systems and solutions for each client’s individual lifestyle so they can spend more time enjoying life, and less money on things they don’t need.
