Adult Caregivers Employee Resource Group: Talking About Brain Health & Aging – The Basics

This session covered risks and protective factors related to brain health, how to recognize that there is a problem, and things an individual can do to improve brain health. Information was provided on accessing a resource for caregivers who may want to learn more about how to care for a person with cognitive decline as well as other issues.

Following this session participants should be able to:

  • Recognize one or more signs of declining brain health
  • Identify risk factors related to brain health
  • Identify things that can be done to improve brain health
  • Be able to access a tool to learn more about brain health, dementia and other issues facing caregivers

KC focused on aging and social work in health care while at MSU and has spent the past 4 years with Tri County Office on Aging working with older adults, individuals with disability and their caregivers in the community.
