A place for Spartans to connect on adult caregiving/eldercare topics with the goal of connecting, building community and sharing best practices regarding adult/elder caregiving and the importance of caring for the caregivers.

Open to all caregivers of adults 18+. Come share personal experiences, connect with others and learn more about resources available to you.



Lisa is a licensed clinical social worker who received a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University (1988) and her Master's Degree in Social Work from Michigan State University (1991). Lisa has worked in the arenas of addictions counseling, foster care, and employee assistance counseling. Lisa has served the University as an employee assistance counselor since 2003 and as an emotional wellness consultant since 2005. Lisa is the facilitator of the Sustainable High Performance class offered in partnership with MSU Human Resources. This class helps people gain the skills required to live at the intersection of healthy and high performing. Lisa has recently become a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator who provides transformational learning experiences based on the shame resilience research of Dr Brené Brown. Outside of her work at MSU, Lisa is the founder of Wisdom Heart Life a counseling and coaching service dedicated to helping people live their life lined up with their deepest wisdom and their greatest sense of meaning and purpose.


Jaimie is the Deputy Director of the MSU WorkLife Office. She is a leader in support employees across an array of work-life related issues including supporting families and self-care. Jaimie has had diverse work experiences including education, government and non-profit settings in California, Montana, Colorado and Michigan. Jaimie also serves on the Board of Directors for the College and University Work Family Association. She has a BA in Psychology from MSU, an MA in Community Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado as well as a Post Masters Certificate in School Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. She is a licensed professional counselor, licensed school counselor and has a Global Career Development Facilitator certification.
