The Women’s Networking Association welcomes you to join us for a presentation by April Clobes, President and CEO of MSUFCU on “Empowering Women Through Financial Literacy“. Lunch will be provided and registration is open until the capacity limit is met. 

MSU Union is located at 49 Abbot Road, East Lansing, Michigan 48824. Employee parking is available in Ramp 6, just off of Grand River Avenue. The Lake Huron Room is located on the third floor.

Established in 2013, the Women’s Networking Association (WNA) seeks to connect professional women across campus through meaningful and empowering relationships. Providing an opportunity for women to network and support one another is an essential step for building women’s leadership at Michigan State University and in the Greater Lansing community.

WNA hosts monthly seminars which focus on professional development and leadership building. WNA programs are open to all but may have particular relevance to women-identifying individuals seeking to advance their careers or develop networking and leadership skills.

About the Speaker: April Clobes, President & CEO, MSUFCU

April Clobes, President and Chief Executive Officer of Michigan State University Federal Credit (MSUFCU) joined the Credit Union in 1996 and moved through many positions within the organization prior to being named President and CEO in 2015. Clobes serves as the CEO of the Reseda Group, MSUFCU’s wholly owned Credit Union Service Organization (CUSO) formed in 2021.

Clobes has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from Michigan State University, a Master of Arts Degree from Michigan State University in Advertising, and a Master of Business Administration from Western Michigan University.

Named as one of the Most Powerful Women in Credit Unions by American Banker, Clobes has been a transformational leader for technology in the Credit Union industry.

Clobes has earned several awards, including an ATHENA award from the Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, an Honorary Alumni Award from Oakland University, a 3-time winner of Detroit Free Press Top Workplaces Leadership Award, Michigan State University Distinguished Alumni Award and was named as a 2023 Crain’s Detroit Business Newsmaker of the Year. Clobes serves on six (5) FinTech Advisory Boards in addition to several others that support the business and credit union communities.
