Wellbeing Wednesdays: Shame Resilient Caregivers

Date: Wednesday, April 5, 2023 | Time: 12:00 – 1:00pm EST | Location: Virtual – Zoom

Event Description

Caregiving for a spouse, a parent or elder is tough work.  There are the expected time and physical demands, but there can also be an emotional impact that often goes under-recognized.  Join us for a supportive conversation around what doesn’t get talked about when you’re a caregiver.

The WorkLife Office and Health4U are partnering to bring you Wellbeing Wednesdays. These weekly Wednesday sessions are focused on wellbeing in its many forms: workplace wellbeing, mental health wellbeing, physical wellbeing, etc.

Learning Objectives

  • Examine the nuanced & complicated emotions caregivers experience.
  • Discuss the role shame can play in limiting caregivers’ capacity for fulfillment.
  • Explore how grounding in your values and cultivating self-compassion can be helpful.
