Finding a quiet moment in a world of challenges and even chaos is difficult.  Distractions are at the touch of a button.  Would you like to bring your attention back to your eating?  Do you want to improve your relationship with food?  Attend this session to discover the joy of eating in a tuned-in manner.  Join Health4U Registered Dietitian, Abby Richey, and learn the skills needed to eat in a way that promotes long-term positive eating behaviors.  Be prepared for an interactive session by bringing along your lunch or favorite snack food.  We’ll enjoy a focused eating experience together!

The WorkLife Office and Health4U are partnering to bring you Wellbeing Wednesdays. These weekly Wednesday sessions are focused on wellbeing in its many forms: workplace wellbeing, mental health wellbeing, physical wellbeing, etc.

Learning Objectives

  1. Learn to calm down and stay calm and tuned in while eating
  2. Bring awareness and intention to your eating
  3. Learn to take good care of yourself with food

About the Speaker: Abby Richey, MS, RD

Abby Richey headshot

Abby Richey serves as the Registered Dietitian Nutritionist for Health4U. Her work focuses on helping individuals discover the joy of eating for good health and wellness. She works with clients through individual counseling sessions and on-campus programming.

Abby earned her bachelor’s degree in dietetics and fitness from Purdue University in 2003 and a master’s degree in kinesiology from the University of Illinois in 2010. Her professional background in nutrition and fitness includes working in areas of healthcare, WIC, food service, sports nutrition, higher education, cooking demonstrations, and counseling.

Abby lives in Lansing with her husband, 3 children and 1 dog. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors and going on new adventures with her family.
