International Employee Resource Group Presents: International Networking Breakfast

“Cooking is all about people, and food has the power to bring everyone together.”

Join us for our 2nd International Networking Breakfast. Let’s get to know each other with food and community. This is a way to connect international faculty, staff, graduate student assistants and post-docs from around the world and to build their networking portfolio. Come and network with other professionals.

No membership is needed and there is no cost to attend.

The International Employee Resource Group (ERG) is a place for Spartans to connect on issues related to our international community. The goal of the ERG is to connect, build community, and share best practices. It is an opportunity to discuss everyday issues, relationships with friends and family, campus and community connections, and social activities that will help to build community. The International Employee Resource Group will meet twice per semester.

Food Safety and Toxicology is located at 1129 Farm Lane, East Lansing, MI 48824. Employee parking is available in Lots 46 and 53.

About the Speaker: Alexis Travis, PhD

As the Assistant Provost/Executive Director of Health and Wellbeing, Alexis oversees the university’s new University Health and Wellbeing division, which brings together 11 departments focused on supporting faculty, staff, and student health and wellbeing. Alexis earned her doctorate in public health from Walden University and her master’s in pharmacy with honors from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom.

Before joining Michigan State, Alexis served as senior deputy director for the public health administration with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, overseeing the Bureau of Laboratories, Bureau of Epidemiology and Public Health, Bureau of Health and Wellness, Bureau of Infectious Disease Prevention, and the Office of Performance Improvement and Management. In 2021, she was recognized by the de Beaumont Foundation as a National 40 Under 40 in Public Health honoree.
