Join us in person at Linton Hall to focus on your finances Fridays in March. TIAA and Richards & Addy Wealth Management of Lansing, MI bring you specialized topics to guide your financial priorities. This 4-part series will take place each Friday in March from 12-1pm and will also have a virtual option to join. For those in person, food will be provided and registration will be capped at 25 attendees. **More details to come soon on the food options**

March 22 Session: Common Estate Planning Considerations

In life, nothing is certain, but you can help improve your overall financial well-being by creating an estate plan.  In this seminar, we will help you think through important lifetime planning issues and state planning techniques.

We will discuss:
•    Preparing for health care and financial decisions to be made if you are not in a position to make them yourself
•    Determine whether lifetime gifts to your loved ones or charity should play a role in your planning
•    Knowing what questions to ask your attorney to execute an effective estate plan
•    Familiarize yourself with the basic planning documents to implement as part of your estate plan
•    Understanding the importance of asset ownership and beneficiary designations
•    Evaluating the potential for estate taxes

About the Speaker: Kyle Weitekamp, Wealth Management Advisor, TIAA

Kyle Weitekamp is a Wealth Management Advisor at TIAA (tiaa.org), a Fortune 500 financial services organization and leading provider of asset management and retirement services for the academic, research, medical and cultural fields. In his role as a Wealth Management Advisor at TIAA, Kyle is focused on helping participants plan for their financial well-being and retirement readiness. Kyle began his financial services career in 2007 and has been with TIAA since 2018. He serves our institutional clients in the State of Michigan, from the local East Lansing TIAA office. Kyle holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Personal Financial Planning from Western Michigan University and a Master’s of Science in Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management from Colorado State University. He holds FINRA Series 7, 63 and 66 registrations while maintaining Life, Health and Variable Annuity licenses from the States of MI, CA, FL, GA, IN, MA, MO, NJ, OH, SC, TX, VA, and WI. Additionally, Kyle has obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation.
